Rick Shinto And Penelope Kokkinides: The Force Behind InnovaCare Health Development and Growth

The healthcare industry is competitive especially in North America with many upcoming facilities battling to hold ground. InnovaCare Health is one such company striving to offer patients cost-effective and quality services. Most of its clientele base is located in Puerto Rico with a vast membership of over 200000 patients. The organization, in partnership with the Puerto Rican government, offers top-notch Medicaid Programs and Medicare Advantage plans.

In recent years the organization has witnessed tremendous progress following the valuable and insightful leadership and management of Dr. Richard Shinto. Rick Shinto is the current sitting Chief Executive Officer and President of InnovaCare Health. He rightfully holds the position after accumulating an extensive twenty years’ experience in the healthcare management sector. He began his career as a pulmonologist slightly after graduating from medical school. Rick Shinto then veered off into managed healthcare and worked for various institutions including NAMM in California, Medical Pathways Management company, MedPartners, CalOptima Health, and Aveta.

Following his dedication and tenacity to see InnovaCare Health grow into a huge company, Rick Shinto was recognized by the Modern Healthcare organization. He was awarded the “Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare” award in 2018.

Also in the management team is Penelope Kokkinides. She is InnovaCare’s current Chief Administrative Officer. Penelope brings in immense healthcare management skills and experience into the company having worked in the department for over two decades. She has served in various reputable institutions including Centerlight Healthcare, Touchstone Health, and Aveta. Prior to re-joining InnovaCare, Penelope had worked as Chief Operating Officer in the same company.

The joint effort of both Penelope Kokkinides and Rick Shinto pushed InnovaCare Health to join the revolution into incorporating the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network. The new payment method should favor quality money processing and transfers rather than quantity. This should help members under the organization’s wing to access more quality services under affordable terms. InnovaCare Health doesn’t seem to slow down anytime soon with the driving force behind its progress and growth.
