Thanks to the promise of fortune and prestige, the world of financial advisory is increasingly becoming a landing ground for many professionals. Nevertheless, not everyone is successful. Many financial professionals finally leave it for other careers. Only the ones who brave the tide reap the benefits. One of them is Vincent Parascandola.
A Firm Foundation
After leaving Xaverian High School, Parascandola attended Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2014, he received a rare recognition when he was given the opportunity to be the keynote speaker during the commencement of the graduation at his former university.
Backed by Experience
Not many people have had such heavy weights on their shoulders as Parascandola. During the early years in his career, he was an agent with Prudential. He later joined MONY Life Insurance Company and was charged with various responsibilities in management positions, both local and regional.
Parascandola then joined The Advantage Group, a part of AXA Equitable, where as president, he was responsible for delivery of the company’s services to some of the most experienced financial experts. Before then, he had worked as the co-manager of AXA’s branch in New York Metro branch, where he worked with about 400 professionals in the financial industry. Today, he is AXA Advisors’ Senior Executive Vice President, and he is charged with overseeing sales, management, productivity, recruitment and retention as well as developing of talent and skills of new entrants in the financial profession and experienced ones.
A Recognized Leader
Parascandola’s skills, talent and dedication won recognition early in his career. He was the National Rookie of the Year in 1987 when he worked for Prudential. Later he earned various awards in recognition of his leadership skills, including Master Agency and Career Development Award by GAMA.
Parascandola continues to be in the lead of the financial advisory industry. He is often invited to deliver keynote speeches in various major industry and company conferences. He is a former president of Florida chapter and chair of Field Officers Committee under LIMRA.
