Jira will never display the stories -under- the epic, which is very frustrating. But displaying the name of the epic link will do the trick. Realizing that the original poster certainly figured this out a year ago, but thinking that others might have the same question. I've created several release versions in JIRA the closest thing I could find to a "sprint" functionality but I cannot for the life of me figure out how it decides what order to put them in, nor how to change it. I thought maybe it would sort them chronologically by start date, or release date, but no dice.
